Deputy Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis meets with Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities of Malaysia (Athens, 01.06.2022)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis received today, Wednesday, June 1, at his office the Malaysian Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Zuraida Kamaruddin. During the working meeting between the two Ministers, the level of economic and trade relations between the two countries as well as the prospects for their strengthening were discussed.
In particular, talks focused on exports and the possibilities of further promoting them, with the Malaysian Minister placing greater emphasis on timber and edible oils exports. For his part, Mr. Fragogiannis made mention of the strengthening of exports in food, beverages and construction materials. Lastly, it was agreed to intensify communication and information sharing in order to plan more specific bilateral actions for the benefit of both countries’ business communities.
