A two-day United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial meeting has began in Accra today, Tuesday, 5th December, 2023. Participants for the two-day meeting include Foreign and Defence Ministers from United Nations member states.
Topics which will be discussed at the Ministerial meeting will include Improving Environmental Management in Peacekeeping, Women in Peacekeeping, Capabilities for Mandate Delivery and Ensuring Effective Operations which will include protection, safety and security and technology, Capacity Building and Training in line with the mental health of peacekeepers and Conditions for Success including host government support and strategic communications.
