“I am very glad to get Foreign Minister Baerbock in Finland. Germany is an important companion for Finland, and the discussions will continue to strengthen our close relations in foreign and security plan, ” says Foreign Minister Haavisto.
The ministers will discuss topical foreign plus security policy questions, Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, Finland’s NATO membership process, the climate and protection theme, and bilateral matters.
In Helsinki, Foreign Minister Baerbock will also meet President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö . In addition , she will visit a bedrock civil defence shelter to understand about Finland’s comprehensive security approach.
Germany’s Government Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will visit Finland through 13 to 14 February at the invitation of International Minister Pekka Haavisto.
