Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto will visit London on 22 February and have a meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss.
The Ministers will discuss the security situation in Europe and the bilateral relations between Finland and the United Kingdom.
“In the current volatile situation, it is important to coordinate positions and picture of developments with partner countries. The United Kingdom is a close partner for Finland. It is important that EU-UK cooperation on foreign and security policy continue as close as possible. The tense security situation in Europe accentuates the importance of cooperation,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Haavisto.
