Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama has congratulated the newly appointed President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ruler of Abu Dhabi and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In a congratulatory message, Prime Minister said that President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s appointment is a testament to the trust that people of UAE has in their leader, and as exceptional successor to lead the profound vision and inspirational leadership of the Late, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who has left an indelible mark on UAE.
The Prime Minister said Fiji and the UAE have enjoyed close and friendly relations over the years, underpinned by shared interests, values and aspirations.
He reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to increased levels of engagement and cooperation in the future with the UAE.
