The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the work environment in terms of both the organisation of work and a strengthening of the awareness that health and safety at work is a key factor in economic success. Safe and healthy workplaces will be even more important in the post-pandemic period than before.
The conference will use research findings and analyses of policies and practices to discuss the advantages and the traps of distance working (work from home), the right to switch off and to privacy – particularly in jobs in which artificial intelligence is a growing presence.
The pandemic has offered us an opportunity to overhaul some set forms of working or ways of thinking, and even a chance to transform how we look at our priorities. The conference will address potential developments in health and safety at work from a broad range of points of view.
