Stakeholder conference on the amendment of the blocking statute

The European Commission is holding a stakeholder meeting to accompany the launch of the public consultation on the possible amendment to the blocking statute. The aim of the meeting is to assist stakeholders and citizens in participating in the public consultation, and to exchange views on the initiative’s objective and how best to achieve it. The blocking statute is an important achievement of unified EU action to protect EU operators, whether individuals or companies, from the extra-territorial application of third country laws.
