Consumer affairs and public health, Employment and social rights,

It is estimated that more than 120 000 people in Europe annually get cancer because of occupational exposure to carcinogens, with cancer being the leading cause of work-related deaths.

The Roadmap on Carcinogens is an international initiative established in 2016 to unite individuals, companies, and countries in their efforts to improve the situation in this field.

The roadmap also includes an international seminar on the protection of hospital employees from the risks of exposure to carcinogens at work, which will present the latest research and examples of best practice.

This event is taking place under the auspices of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
