This event is the official presentation of the Atlantic Centre, a multinational initiative led by Portugal and dealing with security analysis, dialogue, and capacity building focusing on the whole of the Atlantic.
It brings together representatives of the Ministries of defense of the countries wishing to participate in this initiative alongside Portugal in a ceremony where a first memorandum of understanding will be signed, defining the areas of cooperation and the priorities for the centre’s activities.
Representatives of EU countries will also be present, increasing the visibility of this initiative and reinforcing the EU’s partnership with existing and new multilateral initiatives that can amplify the EU’s goal of promoting peace and security in the Atlantic.
