This EU Presidency event aims to provide a follow-up to the results of the annual review conference and discuss in greater depth the pressing issues of the Civilian Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), in particular:
- the detailing of experts for Civilian CSDP missions
- intensified coordination between the areas of justice and home affairs and the CSDP
- the strengthening of civil and military synergies.
An additional aim is to integrate the civilian dimension of the CSDP into the Strategic Compass process that is underway.
