The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia, the Centre for Creativity operating under the auspices of the Museum of Architecture and Design, and the Union for the Mediterranean and the European Creative Business Network are holding a three-day conference under the umbrella title of “Future Unlocked!”.
The conference links three other events – a high-level conference on culture in foreign relations, a meeting of senior officials of ministries of culture and senior officials responsible for culture in ministries of foreign affairs, and the European Creative Industries Summit (traditionally hosted by the presiding member state).
All four events will be connected with this year’s Creativeforum.si, a platform established by the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the aim of bringing together businesspeople, creatives and political decision-makers.
The conference will focus on the importance of the creative economy for economic growth and discuss the importance of culture and creativity as integral parts of foreign policy and security and stability factors. The conference is supported by EUNIC Global, EEAS, the European Commission and UNCTAD.
