This conference, organised under the auspices of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU and in collaboration with the National Library of Portugal, will provide the opportunity to build on the momentum caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to help shape a necessary shared understanding of digital transformation and the base for a common approach to capacity-building for the recovery, resilience and sustainability of the cultural sector in Europe.
Participants will deepen their understanding of capacity-building for digital transformation across the European cultural heritage sector. We will explore what role Europeana, the European Commission, cultural heritage institutions, national policymakers and other key players can play in a common approach to capacity-building around policy, institutional development, human capacity, change processes, and sustainability.
