The Arctic science summit week (ASSW) was launched by the International Arctic science committee (IASC) in 1999, with the aim of providing opportunities for coordination, cooperation and collaboration between the different scientific organisations involved in research in the Arctic, so as to discuss the scientific advances regarding the region.
Portugal will be the host country for ASSW 2021, with the theme ‘The Arctic: regional changes, global impacts’.
This event is taking place under the patronage of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU.
