On 13 July, the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), in cooperation with the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU, will hold the 6th Enlargement Day conference.
This annual event, taking place online this year, will discuss the role of regions and cities in the EU accession process and sustainable recovery pathways in the region.
The conference will include:
- a first thematic session on the question ‘Is the EU enlargement agenda fit for purpose?’
- a high-level event debating ways and means for a sustainable recovery in the enlargement countries, with participation among others of Olivér Várhelyi, EU Commissioner for European neighbourhood policy and enlargement negotiations
- a second thematic session on the green and digital transition for recovery and resilience
