Accreditation and press briefing: Green Summit in Copenhagen 19-20 October

Heads of State and Government, top ministers, leaders from some of the world’s largest companies, civil society representatives, investors and young entrepreneurs meet in Copenhagen on the 19-20 October to participate in the first green summit under the new global initiative, P4G (Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030).

Denmark is hosting the P4G Summit to accelerate the transition to a sustainable global economy. The focus will be on developing, diffusing, and financing public-private partnerships that provide concrete solutions to food waste, plastic in the oceans, overuse of resources, water shortage, pollution and congestion in big cities.

The Summit will take place over two days. On the first day, Danish Prime Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, will give a welcome address at the Confederation of Danish Industry. Later, the Danish Ministry of Environment and Food, the Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate, the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, and the City of Copenhagen, will host a number of sessions on food and agriculture, water, energy, sustainable cities, and circular economy. On the next day, Heads of States and Governments will convene in the Danish Radio Concert Hall. The focus will be on political leadership at global level. Not only for politicians, but also for global leaders from cities, businesses, civil society and academia.

Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark is hosting a dinner at Christiansborg Palace on occasion of the P4G Summit.
