General secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong, sent a message of congratulations to the first secretary of the Communist Party and president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, for his election as the top party leader of the Caribbean country and also for the success of the VIII National Congress of the political force.
Phu Trong expressed his full conviction that, under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Cuba, Cuban people will overcome all difficulties and challenges, and will successfully implement the guidelines outlined by the VIII Congress, conquer greater victories in the cause of the construction and defense of the beautiful Cuba and for the objective of building a prosperous and sustainable socialism.
He also reaffirmed the determination of the Vietnamese Party, State and people to continue strengthening and deepening even more the relationship of special friendship, comprehensive cooperation and faithful solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba.
The top leader of Vietnam Communist Party also sent a message to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, in which he highlighted his outstanding revolutionary career and his important contributions to the special relationship of friendship between the two countries.
Phu Trong said that Raúl has been a close, trustworthy and close friend and companion of the Vietnamese Party, State and people for more than six decades.
