Port of Spain, October 6, 2021. On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the terrorist attack against the Cubana de Aviación aircraft downed off the coast of Barbados, a representation of the Trinidad & Tobago Friends of Cuba Solidarity Movement (TTFC), of the Justice Movement Social (MSJ), the Cuban Medical Brigade that provides services in this country, and the Cuban Embassy today placed a wreath on the plaque in commemoration of the victims of the attack located at the Piarco Airport, where the aircraft stopped before leaving for Barbados. The political leader of the MSJ, David Abdulah recalled the tragic event and the way of operating of its material authors, the role of the Trinidad and Tobago police authorities in their capture and the protection given to the terrorists Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles by of the CIA, directly involved in the organization of the action. For his part, the President of the TTFC, Clyde Callender reiterated the solidarity of the Trinitarian people with the Cuban revolution and with the families of the victims. The Ambassador of Cuba in Trinidad and Tobago, Tania Diego Olite recalled the pain that this ruthless crime caused on the Cuban people and other terrorist acts carried out against the Cuban revolution throughout these 62 years and that still do not stop today. He denounced the inclusion of Cuba in the spurious unilateral list of the United States Department of State on States that supposedly support this scourge and ratified Cuba’s position against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including State terrorism. Finally, the words of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, were remembered in the moving act of farewell to the victims of sabotage when he expressed “We could ask ourselves what is intended with these crimes. Destroy the Revolution? It is impossible. The Revolution emerges more vigorous in the face of each blow and each aggression, it deepens, it becomes more conscious, it becomes stronger ”.
