The state mission of Cuba in Tailandia joins the International Caravan “Bridges of Love for the Cuban family, against economic sanctions on Cuba”, on 24 and 25 April

The state mission of Cuba in Tailandia joins the International Caravan “Bridges of Love for the Cuban family, against economic sanctions on Cuba”, on 24 and 25 April, that demands an end to the genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba. #UnblockCuba  #NoMásBloqueoContraCuba  #CubaNoEstáSola

The US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba is rejected by the international community for its unjust, extraterritorial and genocidal character. It has been enforced for 60 years against the small developing island state and maintains full strength in flagrant violation of International Law, according to Article II of the Geneva Convention and the Charter of the United Nations.

Since the London Naval Conference in 1909, it is accepted principle of international law that “a blockade is an act of war.”

Notwithstanding the brutal and illegal imperialist blockade, officially instituted on February 3, 1962, by proclamation 3447 of then-President Kennedy, the Cuban people resist and strive every day to develop the socialist society that it chose, advancing the updating process of its socio-economic model.

This weekend, in cities around the world, caravans of compatriots and friends of all nationalities call for the end of the unilateral and illegal US blockade against Cuba, as demanded by 28 Resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly since 1992.
