The President of Namibia sends messages through the PCC Congress to the Army General and President Díaz-Canel.

Namibia, April 22nd, 2021- The President of the Republic of Namibia, H.E. Dr. Hage Geingob, on behalf of his government, SWAPO and the Namibian people, sent emotional messages to Army General Raúl Castro and to the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, respectively, on the occasion of the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.

The Namibian president highlighted the “peerless dedication, supreme work-ethic, admirable patriotism and outstanding legacy” of the Army General. Similarly, he highlighted Raúl’s dedication “to the freedom of all Cubans and breaking of the suffocating bonds of selfish hegemonic forces across the world.”

In the message addressed to President Díaz-Canel, the Namibian leader congratulated his Cuban homologous for his election as First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba. Likewise, he highlighted the ties of friendship that unite them.

President Geingob reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening historical bilateral relations. In addition, he expressed that Namibia will continue with “the call to the United States of America to remove the imperialist and aggressive financial, economic and commercial blockade against Cuba.”

In both messages, the also President of SWAPO, highlighted the historical legacy of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
