Copenhagen, March 19, 2022. The Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of Denmark today held its popular consultation meeting on the Family Code project.
The members of the diplomatic mission agreed to highlight the innovative content of the new proposals reflected in the document, very adjusted to our time, and adapted to the conditions of the nation. They also described its revolutionary content as renovating, and designed for the protection of the Cuban family.
The President of the Electoral Commission, Roger López GarcÃa, led the discussion, whose interventions dealt with the protection of old age, the rights of children and adolescents, parental responsibility, solidarity gestation, as well as family violence, among others. .
The current text was submitted prior to its debate in parliament, and the discussion process will last until April 30, where citizens, inside and outside of Cuba, will have the right to participate. The National Assembly of People’s Power must approve a new version, which will go to a popular referendum.
