The Cuban Ambassador carry on his initial diplomatic work in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, September 28th – As continuity of his initial diplomatic work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada held his first interview at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the recently appointed Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Mr. Faisal Muslat Gasab Al-Mandeel, a post that is part of a new organizational structure that is being created in that ministry.

Mr. Al-Mandeel, who served as Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Havana until July 2021, welcomed the Cuban diplomat to his country and wished him success in the new and significant mission, for which he assured him that it could count on the Foreign Ministry’s support.

This meeting was used by both interlocutors to address several specific issues on bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation between Cuba and the Kingdom, which they promised to continue promoting in the near future.

On the other hand, the Island’s Ambassador also paid a courtesy visit to his counterpart from Oman, H.E. Mr. Sayeed Faisal Bin Turki Al-Saeed, who took the opportunity to formally present the request for his approval as the new non-resident Ambassador in Muscat, with residence in Riyadh.

Mr. Bin Turki thanked the Ambassador for the visit and offered him his support so that he could develop his concurrent labor, with a view to consolidating bilateral relations in different spheres between their respective countries, despite the geographical distance that separates them.
