The Crown Prince of Dubai visits the Cuban Pavilion at Expo 2020

Coinciding with the celebrations of the 502 Anniversary of Havana and for the return of our country to the new normality, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, accompanied by Her Excellency Reem Al-Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, visited the Cuban Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. The distinguished visitors were received by Roberto Blanco Domínguez, Cuban Ambassador to the UAE and Commissioner General of Cuba at Expo 2020, as well as by Miriam Martínez, Director of the Pavilion.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan and Minister Reem made a tour in the Pavilion, where they received an explanation of the various areas, showing particular interest in the exhibits dedicated to Cuban medicine and biotechnology. In this regard, Dr. Alex Carrera, head of the medical cooperation in the UAE, offered a brief presentation on the scientific advances of Cuba in these fields and the successes of Cuban vaccines against Covid-19.

His Highness tasted the delicious Cubita coffee and stood its quality out. Likewise, he highlighted the beauty of our seabed, the quality of the various brands of Cuban Habanos and the delicious honey from our country.

Ambassador Roberto Blanco expressed his satisfaction with the visit to our Pavilion to the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Minister of State for International Cooperation, while His Highness expressed his gratitude for the attention received.

The tour of  the Pavilion was animated with the musical interpretation of the Cuban violinist, Jorge Alejandro Vázquez Sánchez.
