The contribution of Che Guevara in the construction of socialism in Cuba and the development of internationalism

Athens, January 22. Celebrating the 63 years of the Cuban Revolution, the Diethnes Vima publishing house organized an event based on two books published by this publishing house with speeches and writings by Che entitled: Che Guevara speaks to the young and Socialism and man in Cuba. The speakers were; Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Magdalini Lapa, Natasa Terlexi-Editorial Diethnes Vima, Nikos Karandreas-President of the Hellenic-Cuban Association of Friendship and Solidarity.
The interventions showed the struggle of the Cuban revolution in those early years, the contributions of Che and the validity of his thought today. At the end there was also a debate where the current situation of the Cuban revolution, the criminal US blockade against Cuba, the internationalism of the revolution throughout its history and the confrontation with COVID in Cuba were explained.
The nearly 50 participants, workers from different spheres, students, friends of Cuba, despite the cold and the pandemic situation, appreciated the information received and bought several books on the Cuban revolution and its work.
