Addis Ababa, October 26, 2021. Today, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, bid farewell to Cuban Ambassador Vilma Thomas Ramírez, at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the State Minister presented the Ambassador with a plaque of recognition on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia for the work carried out by the Cuban diplomat in favor of strengthening relations between the two countries. Ambassador Birtukan reiterated the Ethiopia’s willingness to continue advancing in expanding cooperation with Cuba in the bilateral and multilateral spheres.
Ambassador Vilma Thomas, on her part thanked the State Minister for her support during her tenure and her permanent willingness to cooperate with the Embassy. Likewise, she extended her acknowledge to the Ethiopian Government for maintaining its support to Cuba in the struggle against the US blockade.
