Addis Ababa, October 28, 2021. Today, Cuban Ambassador Vilma Thomas Ramírez was received by the Speaker of the House of People´s Representatives of Ethiopia, Honorable Tagesse Chafo, at the headquarters of that institution.
Ambassador Vilma thanked the distinguished representative for facilitating her work of promotion and strengthening of relations between the two countries at the parliamentary level. Likewise, the Cuban diplomat hand over to the Honorable Tagesse Chafo a message of congratulations on his appointment from the Speaker of the National Assembly of People´s Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández.
For his part, the Honorable Tagesse Chafo congratulated the Ambassador for the results of her work and for her contribution to strengthening the friendship between both peoples and governments. He thanked the message received from his Cuban counterpart, to whom he sent a warm greeting.
Both parties recognized the historical ties that unite Cuba and Ethiopia and expressed the willingness of the two governments to continue working in areas of common interest.
