Representative of Cuba exchanges with DIRCO executives

The Chargé d’Affaires, a.i from Cuba, Rebeca Hernández, attended an event hosted by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, Dr. Naledi Pandor, who was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, H.E. Mr.Alvin Botes and other directors of the Department.

The Cuban Charge d’ Affaires reiterated the gratitude of the Cuban government and people to the South African government for the firm support of this country to the Cuban people in their fight against the blockade, which remains intact and has been intensified by a Fourth Generation war in the media. She also thanked South Africa’s traditional support to the resolution presented by Cuba in the framework of the United Nations General Assembly which calls for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government.

She conveyed the Cuban government’s commitment to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries, which is an example of South-South cooperation.

The event was also conducive to greet Minister Naledi Pandor and exchange with Deputy Minister Alvin Botes.
