Monrovia, March 29, 2021 – The popular Liberian newspaper “Liberia News” today published in its headlines an article on the celebration of the Caravan in Cuba against the US blockade that has victimized the Greater Antilles for more than 60 years.
The Liberian newspaper pointed out that hundreds of car drivers and cyclists lined up early in the morning at the port of Havana as part of a global initiative that took place in different parts of the world, and that, holding national flags and banners in support of the Cuban government, the participants were welcomed by the locals from balconies and portals.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez indicated that solidarity events had been held around the world to condemn the unilateral policy towards the Caribbean nation.
Liberia also joined the world caravan against the blockade against Cuba. The mobilization, framed in a world day, reiterated the friendship and solidarity between both nations and the repudiation by the Liberian society of the genocidal blockade imposed on the Cuban people.
