Beirut, June 12, 2021. The President of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), Alfonso Nova MartÃnez, sent a letter of congratulations to Ghassan Ben Jeddou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mayadeen network, on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of its foundation.
In the letter, the Cuban executive recognizes the important role played by Al Mayadeen in defense of the truth and in the face of the slander and distortions of the enemies of the progressive forces of the world. It also highlights the support given by Al Mayadeen to the battle of the Cuban people against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.
“In this new stage, where the Covid-19 pandemic has imposed new ways of doing journalistic work, Al Mayadeen has not silenced his voice in the face of the aggressions of world imperialism and has reflected the battle of our countries and peoples to overcome the pandemic and continue advancing in the goals set for the socioeconomic development of our countries.” Expressed Nova MartÃnez.
Al Mayadeen Media Network was inaugurated in Beirut on June 11, 2012, and is one of the fastest growing media networks in the Middle East.
