Norwegian sailboat will anchor at the Sierra Maestra Cruise Terminal, in Havana.

Havana, November 23 (ACN).The Norwegian sailboat Statsraad Lehmkuhl will dock this Wednesday, November 24, at the Sierra Maestra Cruise Terminal, in Havana, on a visit that is part of the One Ocean initiative and its trip around the world for knowledge, education and diplomacy.

The arrival of the boat should be at 10 in the morning, according to specialists from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) , who attributed their expedition to the exchange of new knowledge about the ocean and contribute to the fulfillment of the Objectives of Sustainable Development of the UN.

According to the program of your stay, the reception will be in charge of representatives of the Norwegian embassy in Cuba, CITMA and the Hemingway International Nautical Club of Cuba.

A day later an Exhibition Fair will be inaugurated on board, on Friday they will organize, at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, a Seminar on Sustainability, Environment and Governance for the future of the Ocean, in coordination with the Fisheries Research Center and the Research Institute Marinas

Representatives of Organizations of the Central State Administration and Norwegian diplomats will sign a project called NORAD: Production of marine fingerlings in Cuba on the boat itself .

That same day they will make a field visit to the fish farm belonging to the Fisheries Research Center.

The crew of the Statsraad Lehmkuhl will drop anchor next Sunday towards Nassau, Bahamas.

This training ship, built in 1914, has three masts, and is owned and operated by the Statsraad Lehmkuhl Foundation, based in Bergen, Norway, where it provides services for various purposes, including for the Norwegian Royal Navy.
