Athens, April 5, 2021. The publishing house Diethnes Vima (International Forum), which has published numerous books on Cuban revolution , has just launched a new book entitled: Our history is still being written. The story of three Chinese Cuban generals in the Cuban revolution. By: Armando Choy, Gustavo Chui, Moises Sio Wong. In its press release, the publisher explains that: This new book highlights one of the lesser-known aspects of the Cuban Revolution, the struggle to eradicate racism inherited from colonialism. Through the narration of three participants unfolds the history of the revolutionary struggles of the Cuban people, in an accessible and living way. The three writers, as young Cubans of Chinese descent, plunged into the great proletarian battle that defined their generation. They became fighters in the illegal urban struggle and the revolutionary war that overthrew a US-backed dictatorship and paved the way for the socialist revolution. All three later became generals of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces. Here they talk about the historical role of Chinese immigration in Cuba as well as about revolutionary action and internationalism, from Angola and Nicaragua to Venezuela. Through their personal paths we see the unfolding of the social and political forces that gave birth to the Cuban nation and continue to shape our time. We see how millions of ordinary people – men and women – have changed the course of history, while in the process they have changed themselves. “What was the most important measure to uproot discrimination against Chinese and blacks in Cuba?
