Beirut, November 22 2021. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, sent a congratulatory message to his Lebanese counterpart, General Michel Aoun, on the occasion of the celebration of the 78th anniversary of the independence of the Lebanese Republic.
Meanwhile, the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno RodrÃguez Parrilla, also congratulated Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib, to whom he ratified Cuba’s willingness to continue developing and strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The Lebanon achieved its independence on November 22, 1943, after a long and complex process that put an end to the French mandate imposed after the first world war. (Embacuba LÃbano)
