Cuban health brigade arrives in The Bahamas.

Nassau, January 14th, 2022. The Minister of Public Health and Welfare of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Dr. Michael Darville, the Ambassador of Cuba, Julio César González Marchante, and the Chief of Cuban health cooperation, Dr. Lorenzo Pérez Sánchez received the “Henry Reeve” International Contingent Brigade that will support to the Bahamian people in their confrontation with Covid-19.

In the welcome, the minister of health thanked Cuba for its contribution in these difficult times that the country is experiencing with the pandemic, demonstrating once again the will of the Cuban government and its health workers to support other friendly peoples who need it.  

For his part, the Cuban diplomat expressed the gratitude of the Cuban people and government for this opportunity offered by the Bahamian authorities to support them and the assurance that our health professionals, together with those who were already in the country, will work with total dedication and the humanism that characterizes them to overcome the current difficulties.

This is the 58th brigade of the International Contingent that goes out from Cuba to fight Covid-19 in 42 countries, demonstrating with facts the solidarity work of our Island with the world.
