Cuban Ambassador visits José Martí school in New Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 15. The Ambassador of Cuba in India, Alejandro Simancas, visited the José Martí public school in New Delhi, and had an exchange with its director Suman Kumar about the restart of the school year on the Island.

The diplomatic representative of the Caribbean country, accompanied by Kumar and a group of professors from said educational center, as well as by the Charge d’ Affaires of the Cuban Embassy Juan Carlos Marcof, paid tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí in front of a bust that enhances your figure in the school areas.

During the talks, the director Suman Kumar explained to the visitor the characteristics of the José Martí school, which has 1300 students from kindergarden to pre-university level.

They also recalled the traditional friendship that emerged between the peoples of both countries, and also talked about the singularities and similarities between the two nations.

Simancas stressed that the two main priorities for Cuba have always been health and education, especially for children, and that this Monday the country begins the period of the new normality, after having immunized almost the entire Cuban population with vaccines producedo in Cuba to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
