Kampala. Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques presented her Copies of Credentials to General Odongo Chief Abubakhar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda.

During the meeting, the Ugandan Foreign Minister highlighted Cuba’s contribution to the countries of Africa, and in particular to Uganda, cataloging the Cuban revolutionary government as a true friend and the one who best understood the challenges facing the nascent Ugandan revolution.

The African diplomat ratified unconditional support for Cuba in all multilateral areas, and explained the efforts being made to open the Embassy of that country in Havana during the year 2022.

“To work hard to carry out bilateral cooperation projects that make us a successful example of South-South Cooperation, in correspondence with the level of our political relations” – was the main message sent by the Cuban diplomatic official.

Cuba and Uganda established diplomatic relations in 1974.
