The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, paid a visit to the IIMT University of Meerut where he received a warm welcome from the rector Mr. Yogesh Mohanji Gupta. During the exchange, the various opportunities for cooperation with higher education institutions in our country were evaluated.
As part of the program, the Cuban diplomat gave a lecture on Cuban history and culture, as well as the achievements of its political and social system, on the eve of the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. The ties of friendship and solidarity that unite India and Cuba, which will reach their 62nd anniversary on January 12, were also highlighted.
In the meeting with professors and students of the University, the figure of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and his role in the development of bilateral ties were highlighted.
Also present at the activity were friends of solidarity with Cuba from Meerut, who reaffirmed their support to the Caribbean Island.
