The Cuban ambassador to Cambodia, Liurka RodrÃguez Barrios, visited the Royal Academy of Cambodia. The diplomat was received by rector Dr. Sok Touch, as well as with other members of the faculty and researchers, with whom she exchanged on issues of international relations, humanities, science, technology, among others of bilateral interest.
During the meeting, RodrÃguez learned about the work of the upper house of studies, a pillar of thought, theory and research in Southeast Asia. Likewise, she received the interest of promoting exchanges with related Cuban institutions, whose prestige transcends globally.
During the visit of the Cuban ambassador, the links between Cuba and Cambodia for six decades were also highlighted. She remembered the solidarity of the island to the kingdom’s health system, as well as the permanent support of the Cambodians for the end of the US blockade against the Caribbean Island.
