Cuba reaffirmed solidarity character of ALBA-TCP at Havana summit, highlights Gambian press

Banjul, Dec 15.- Cuba ratified this Tuesday the solidarity character of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) at its XX Summit held in Havana, the Gambian newspaper Daily publishes today News.

The XX Summit is the culmination of a year of intense work after dozens of meetings held and the XIX Summit of the organization, held virtually in Venezuela, added the Cuban president.

He reiterated his country’s commitment to the regional Alliance and the nations that make it up, and called for continuing to strengthen it.

For the first time in person, after the impact of the Covid19, the XX Summit brought together dignitaries from its ten Latin American and Caribbean member states with the purpose of analyzing, among other issues, the creation of joint strategies that allow facing the post- pandemic.

The presidents of Bolivia, Luis Arce; from Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro; from Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega; as well as the Prime Ministers of Granada, Keith Mitchell; and from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, were present at the event. Representatives from Saint Lucia, Dominica, Antigua and Barbudas and Saint Kitts and Nevis also participated, concludes the Gambian daily report.
