The member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Foreign Relations of ZANU PF, Simbarashe Mumbengegwi received in this capital the Cuban ambassador in Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramírez. The Zimbabwean party leader expressed his country’s gratitude for the help and solidarity that Cuba has always given them.
He sent his congratulations on the results of the 8th Congress of the PCC and to the new leadership of the PCC. I consider the way in which the transfer of power to the new generation has been carried out exemplary. Cuba is an example of resistance, of the struggle to maintain its independence and sovereignty under economic and political harassment from its neighbor to the north. That is why Zimbabwe will always support Cuba for the lifting of the unjust US Blockade, he said.
