Tehran, June 13, 2021. In a small but emotional ceremony, the Embassy of Cuba in the Islamic Republic of Iran this morning made the symbolic presentation of the high distinction awarded by the Council of State: the “Medal of Friendship”, to the Iranian solidarity leader Hamid Sharabi, who has been a loyal and tireless defender of the Cuban Revolution for more than four decades.
Who was the founder of the first solidarity organization with Cuba in Iran, disseminator of innumerable speeches, reflections and ideas of our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, as well as an important part in the preparation of several of the activities carried out by the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution during its visit to Iran in 2001, has proven to be worthy of this decoration that summarizes the infinite affection and gratitude of our people and government.
