Cuba and Mongolia expand ties in health sector.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. April 6, 2021. With the signing today of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of Mongolia and the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba on reciprocal cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences, the national competencies of both countries to strengthen health systems and continue advancing in the collaboration modalities agreed by both parties in this document.

The Minister of Health, Enkhbold Sereejav, for the Mongolian side, and the Cuban ambassador, Raúl Delgado Concepción, on behalf of the Cuban Minister of Health José Angel Portal Miranda, signed the document that shows the will of both governments to contribute to improving the state health of its citizens.

During the signing ceremony, Minister S. Enkhbold noted that the development and achievements of health and medical sciences in Cuba are well known to the people of Mongolia and that Mongolian health professionals who studied dentistry in Cuba are leaders in their specialtie. The minister also described the actions that the Mongolian government is taking against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ambassador indicated on his words the gratitude of the medical authorities and the Cuban people for this recognition and emphasized the will of our government to continue strengthening these beneficial collaboration ties for both nations in favor of the noble profession of health care.
