Roseau, Dominica, January 26, 2022. In a simple and solemn act, the Electoral Commission of District No. 11, corresponding to the Cuban Embassy in Dominica, was constituted this morning, January 26, 2022, which will carry out the process of popular consultation and referendum of the Family Code among the members of the Cuban State Mission in this country.
The Commission is chaired by Ulises Arranz Fernández, Ambassador of Cuba in this country, and is made up of Francisco Sánchez MartÃnez, Head of the Permanent Brigade of Health Collaborators, as secretary, and Miriam MartÃn Posada, First Secretary and Consul of Cuba, as vocal. Health collaborator Yusnier Garay Valdez, Secretary of the PCC Nucleus, also participated in the solemn act as a guest.
After singing the notes of the Cuban national anthem, the oath was read by Miriam MartÃn Posada and following signed by all the members of the Commission who took office.
The draft of the new Family Code will be submitted to popular consultation from February 1 to April 30 of the current year, in a process of broad democratic participation of all cubans, who are submitted for their consideration the main laws that govern in Cuba.
