Addis Ababa, December 8, 2021. This morning, Cuban Ambassador designate to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, awarded a scholarship in medicine to the Ethiopian youngster Celia Yibrah Mehari.
In this way, Cuba continues cooperating in the educational field with Ethiopia, as part of the collaboration programs the Cuban government provides to several developing nations.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Jorge Lefebre expressed that he hoped the young student can train as a good professional, in order to help the Ethiopian people in the health area.
For more than 40 years, Cuba has maintained an education program for Ethiopian students, which has enabled the training of around 5,000 professionals in various sectors of the economy and society.
