A group of cuban health collaborators arrives to Dominica.

Roseau, Dominica. A group of 24 cuban health collaborators arrived in Dominica to relieve their colleagues who for several years served on a mission in this sister nation. At the Douglas – Charles international airport, they were received by the Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, Miriam Martín Posada, the head of the Permanent Brigade of Health Collaborators, Dr. Isolina López Cardoso and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and New Investment in Health of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Letitia Lestrade

The group is made up of specialist doctors, graduates in nursing and in other specialties in the health sector (radiology, clinical laboratory, cyst histopathology, pharmacy and electromedicine). Once the collaborators comply with the protocols established by COVID – 19, the group will join the work carried out by the Permanent Brigade that is providing its services in this sister nation.

The collaboration of health from Cuba to Dominica is the result of an agreement signed between the health ministries of both countries. This collaboration has been taking place for several years and constitutes a sample of the excellent relations between the two countries.
