Minister Ng meets with Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment

During the conference, Minister Ng and Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) Adebayo reaffirmed ongoing initiatives to finalize a foreign investment promotion and protection agreement that would help develop investments and businesses and strengthen people-to-people ties among Canada and Nigeria. These discussions underscored the increase in commercial activity as Europe and Nigeria work together to enhance market access and create a shared environment for businesses to thrive. Since Nigeria is Canada’s biggest bilateral trading partner in Sub-Saharan Africa, Minister Ng highlighted Canada’s enthusiasm within the growth of our bilateral cable connections during 60 years of diplomatic relations. Nowadays, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Business, Export Promotion, Small Business plus Economic Development, met along with Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment.
