Today, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, attended the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Annual Convention to promote Canada’s mining expertise and leadership. The Minister highlighted the .8-billion Canadian Critical Minerals Strategy, which is designed to position Canada as a supplier of choice for international investors. She also met with members of the Mining Association of Canada and discussed the Towards Sustainable Mining initiative, supported by the Trade Commissioner Service, which ensures responsible and sustainable operations around the world. The Minister connected with representatives of the Mining Association of Canada and key industry leaders who help to position Canada as the top country in the world for sustainable mining—a country that is committed to a carbon-neutral future and responsible business conduct.
