Canada to welcome Japanese delegation to deepen commercial ties

Media are invited to attend the signing ceremony.   In the morning, Canadian and Japanese officials will engage in a series of bilateral meetings with a focus on fortifying commercial ties and fostering collaboration between industries and government bodies on both sides. Additionally, a number of Memorandums of Understanding and Collaboration will be signed to solidify Canada’s commitment to the Indo-Pacific region. Event: Signing Ceremony

Pearson Building, 125 Sussex Drive, Ottawa Notes for media:  September 20, 2023 – The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry and the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, will be hosting a Japanese delegation in Ottawa on September 21. This delegation will be led by his Excellency Nishimura Yasutoshi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
