Biographical note: Vivian Abdelmessih

Vivian Abdelmessih joined Export Development Canada on March 31, 2023, as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for 4-year term. Previously, she held leadership roles at TD Bank, including most recently as Executive Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer of Canadian Banking, Wealth, and Insurance. She has also served in leadership positions at the Royal Bank of Canada. A long-time champion of inclusivity and promoting diversity, Ms. Abdelmessih is a member of the board of Scientific Games Inc. and LEAP at the Pecaut Centre for Social Impact. She has also served as board member of First Nations Bank of Canada, the TD Entreprise Women in Leadership Committee, as well as organizations such as Greenwood College School, Canadian Business Growth Fund (CBGF), and the United Way Toronto & York Region. Ms. Abdelmessih has a Political Science and English degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from Western University.
