Canadian measures
Effective immediately, Canada is imposing sanctions against Haitian political elites in response to the egregious conduct of political elites who provide illicit financial support to armed gangs. The Special Economic Measures (Haiti) Regulations impose a prohibition on dealings related to listed individuals, effectively freezing any assets they may have in Canada.
