On thursday march 16, 2023, a high-level African Union delegation led by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission His Excellency Moussa Faki Mahamat arrived in Bujumbura for an official visit.
At Melchior NDADAYE International Airport, His Excellency Moussa Faki Mahamat was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, His Excellency Ambassador Albert SHINGIRO. On the evening of march 16, 2023, the Government of Burundi offered a dinner to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission His Excellency Moussa Faki Mahamat and his delegation in the presence of certain High Authorities and Senior Government Officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation His Excellency Albert SHINGIRO and the Minister in charge of the Interior Mr. Martin NITERETSE.
It should be noted that His Excellency Moussa stayed three days in Burundi and was received by the President of the Republic of Burundi, His Excellency Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE, on march 17, 2023.
