The EnSmart Company wants to supply Burundi with solar energy

On tuesday october 04, 2022, the Managing Director of the EnSmart association, Mr. Alidi SUDI, organized a press conference at Martha Hotel from 2:30 p.m.

This press conference was to bring to the attention of national and international opinion the projects that this association wishes to carry out in Burundi.
EnSmart’s vision is to provide the country with all the solar energy it needs in collaboration with Regideso technicians. This project will last one year. At the first moment, 500Mw will be available and 100Mw will be put in reserve. The cost of this project is estimated at 670 thousand USD. The parent company EnSmart is located in London/UK, and wishes to have a headquarters that will cover the East African Community region in Bujumbura.
Regarding future projects, the company EnSmart will set up the necessary electrical installations in relation to demand; meet energy demands; participate in updating the existing national network (studies, training); allow the relocation of industries on the national territory; improve public transport by introducing green energy buses; participate in the reduction of youth unemployment; contribute to the improvement of the agricultural sector through mechanized irrigation using solar energy.
Note that the company EnSmart was created in Burundi to support the development of the country in various sectors. Its primary objective is to promote the energy sector while allowing the Government of Burundi to have sufficient energy to carry out its projects.
The various Ministries of the Government of Burundi were represented at this conference, among others: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation; the Ministry of Hydraulics, Energy and Mines; the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock; the Ministry of Communication, Information Technology and the Media.
